Welcome to our 1000th post!
It’s taken us a while but we have finally made it! One thousand posts, I couldn’t even begin to understand how many hours that equates to, how many keys pressed or words typed, quite a few…
As its kinda special I’d thought I would do a bit of a retrospective, but instead of looking back and picking our favourite posts I came up with the idea of looking back at the posts that for whatever reason have been really popular with you the reader.
What makes this really interesting, for me anyway, is that when one of the LS team puts a post together they spend however long it takes them to complete it and this could mean 10 minutes or it could mean 2 hours. But the time and effort put into a post doesn’t necessarily equate in to page hits, you could produce the equivalent of Michelangelo’s Sistine chapel and it could be ignored, whereas a short post about a PS3 charging station could steal the limelight, even if the post contains some PS3 flaming…
So in honour or you, the reader, your greatest hits:

An awesome oil painting by the very talented pixelninja, a Swedish student and illustrator who is also famous for her cosplay work as well. One thing I found really strange about this painting is the low impact it had on the net in general, of all the stuff floating around the net this is surely worthy of attention, that’s the internet for you.

The second set of Mac and PC desktop icons in the style of NES icons designed by resident artiste James Boyle, this particular one is a shiny Zelda gold cart. You’ll find more of his work on the downloads page and I even hear talk of Mr Boyle working on new icons and box art, so watch this space!

Quite possibly the shortest post in the world, (sounds like a Carlsberg advert!) it contains a mere 50 words and 3 pictures but that hasn’t stopped it from raking in the hits. Having said that the content of this post guaranteed to pull in the hits.

Subject to much debate and hilarity in the LS team purely because it’s about as random as you can get for a post that continually brings home the bacon and we’re not quite sure why. Mike praises the Pelican charging station, but also uses the post as an opportunity to slag off the PS3 and it’s thievery of the Spider-Man font.
Custom Collages From The Mushroom Kingdom

The most recent post to be really popular with the readership and also one by yours truly. Two artistic posts in our heavy hitters? I shall need to make a note of this! In all serious though the work by Chris Ange is very good and he is receiving the justified attention for it, also if you head over to technabob you can find details on how to win your very own custom collage by Chris.
