With about two weeks left to go in 2007, it appears that UK gamers have totally fragged the nonsense about a slow down in consumer spending by shelling out £1.52billion on games this year – that’s up 25% on last year.
Clearly, the gaming market has been boosted this year by the release of new next gen consoles, a growing catalogue of titles and the releases of hot new titles such as Super Mario Galaxy and Halo 3.
The games market is now such a huge industry, the sales of video games account for 79% of all software sales in the UK. Now that’s impressive…
