Welcome to our 2000th post, it took us a while but we finally made it here in one piece. Looking back at the last milestone of 1000, I can see that it’s taken us just over a year to get this far, 1 year 2 months and 18 days to be exact. Broken down even further it’s a not spooky at all 444 days which roughly equates to 2.25 posts a day, take that stat fans!

Those of you who were around for the 1000th post might remember I looked at what had been so popular over the course of those 1000 posts (anyone new to the party can pretend like they were there by simply following the link). So what’s been popular for this batch of 1000 posts I hear you ask, well lets go through the keyhole and find out:

What do people read on a website like this?

In at number one, the most popular item is

Lego Half Life 2

A faithful rendition of Valve’s magnum opus in lego form, made out of a lot of  standard and some custom lego parts, which proved the most poular with readers.

Nintendo Graffiti

A short, but sweet post by Steve which was influenced by Britain’s own Banksy who was receiving a lot of media attention and copy-cat graffiti at the time. So you see the news does serve a purpose outside of reporting on wars and the economy.

8 bit In 3D

Hammer Bro's 3D

This collection of images caused a bit of a storm when they first exploded on the Internet and quite rightly so. For a gamer like myself who was brought up on these 8 bit masterpieces it’s a bit surreal to see them dragged almost completely up to to date with the use of 3D technology.

Steam On A Mac

There has always been a steady rivalry between Mac and PCs since the 70′s and the birth of the personal computer. So fierce was the competition that they even made a move out of it called pirates of silicon valley that follows the lives of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates in their quest to be the first company to sell a PC with a gooey Operating System (whatever that is). Anyway, one of the main differences between the two is that on the surface Apple doesn’t seem all that concerned with the gaming industry (small as it is). So to get something like Steam to work on a Mac did require a ridiculous amount of effort on the Mac users part (hence why I have a PC), now thanks to “crossover to mac” it at least sounds relatively painless.

Why? Seriously I Mean, Look At This Place, Man. You Gotta See This Through The Eyes Of A Woman, You Know? What Is She Going To Think When She Comes In Here? Look. He’s Got a Billion Toys

toycollection

In what has got to be the longest title for a post ever, this quote from 40 year old virgin serves as both an apt title for the post and timely reminder to all man-boys everywhere that toys don’t excite the ladies. Well, not these types of toys anyway, if you want to impress a lady this is definitely not how to do it.

Finally all that’s left for me to say is thanks for stopping by for the past 1000 (hopefully 2000) posts and enjoying reading the site as much as we do writing for it. I hope to see some of you back here for the 3000th post, although please pay attention because next time there might be a test…

I’m glad we’ve finally made it and a little stressed out too. Especially because this happened around E3 and my inbox was going crazy (still is).

Anyway the next challenge is 3000 and to do it in less the 444 days.

    Guys, you’ve officially been warned!!!
