The long arm of the law, and indeed the shadowy criminal underworld have now entered paradise city. Giving players the opportunity to assume a key role on either side of the coin. Take the criminal side and you and your band of merry cars will be charged with the responsibility of getting your precious cargo from A – B and to avoid Paradise city’s finest. However choose the side of the good and not... (read more »)
Now, I don’t want to get ahead of myself and I certainly don’t want to jinx anything (too late), but I get the distinct impression the Wii is getting it’s second wind. By that I mean that third party support is on the up, games are being built from the ground up and it’s not shovel ware. Or so they say. Some new images for Dead Space Extraction have popped up and with them come the promise... (read more »)
Anybody looking to get their swing on will be pleased to hear that the Bionic Commando multiplayer Demo will be on Xbox Live Marketplace tomorrow. Hopefully this demo will provide solid multiplayer fun that it promises to, and give us an indication as to what to expect from the single player (which I am more concerned about). One interesting point is that this demo is only available for Xbox and not PlayStation... (read more »)
Rejoice young people. Rejoice. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 lives again. Arguably one of the best fighting games to ever grace a console is getting a face lift and a re-release. It has been officially announced that this will indeed be coming to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 very soon. How soon? This summer soon. The devoloper, Foundation 9, has built this off of the original Dreamcast code (the console it originally... (read more »)
Way back in 90’s Rare and Nintendo were part of an unstoppable team that seemed to have the Midas touch, every game that was made during their tenure together sold by the bucket load. In 1998 Rare produced what would become the pinnacle of their partnership Banjo-Kazooie. So good was B-K that it was immediately and favourably compared to Mario 64, some commentators went as far as to say it was better, but... (read more »)
I’ve always wondered why Sony choose the current Playstation logo, because to me it’s a very week design and could have been so much better. It wasn’t until I came across an article over at Edge Online that made me think that maybe it was the best choice of logo because the others seem even worse. In the image above there even looks like there is a sort of Sony & Sega love child logo which is... (read more »)
Yes its here, the Opening Cinematic For Ghostbusters: The Video Game! I think that after writing this post I will sit down and watch Ghostbusters since this video has got me pretty excited for the game. Not only does it look so good, they’ve even managed to replicate the same as the TV advert they did in the film. Also what I love even more than the fact the Opening Cinematic is so much like the film is... (read more »)
“Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah! I Suppose Yeah!”, those words haunt me in my dreams. They are lyrics from one of the catchy songs of Rhythm Heaven due out the 1st of May. I have had the honor of playing the Japanese version (not recommended if you don’t read Japanese) and then American version. Europe finally gets their chance to flick and tap on their DSi with the rest of the gaming world. ... (read more »)
Who out there has ever thought to them self’s “I wonder what a SNES would look like if X-rayed..?” No, me either but I have to say that even though this thought has never come into my head the photos I found over on Flickr user Reintji’s account are truly amazing to look at and I now get an idea of what it must be like to sit at airport x-ray security. Now there are all kinds of x-rayed things... (read more »)
So there is this fellow I know, Henry Every, and he is a pirate. He has modded all of his game consoles to play backups, homebrew, and imported games. We met the other day during my lunch hour and we had a pretty interesting discussion about how pirating has really hurt the way he enjoys his games. There are many types of Pirates, but Henry is just a ‘user’ instead of someone trying to make money off... (read more »)
I’ve always been a fan of the Mega Man games, right back to the early days on the NES. Not that I was any good at the originals, the fiendishly hard level design and the near up stoppable robots always got the better of me. I faired better in the x series but then they were easier the play than Mega Man 1-6 (that was until you got to the final stage). I think the reason I enjoy the game so much (even though... Code Masters, who have got their finger in many of the racing pies have now extended their pies to include the Formula One Championship too. Teaming up with Formula One Administration (remember, there is no I team, but there is an I in meat pie…) to bring us two F1 games for this season and then another three for the 2010 season. This year it’s the Wii and PSP owners that get to race around as their... (read more »)
As of today a demo for Gardening Mama can be found on the Wii’s Nintendo Channel and can be downloaded on to your DS for some green fingered fun. This title marks mama’s first foray out of the kitchen where she successfully demonstrated her cooking skills on two DS games and one Wii game. The only question has got to be where will she go next? Interior Designing Mama, or Ninja Dojo Mama? Who knows,... (read more »)
So there I was idly navigating through the NXE on the 360 when I happen to notice that there were more achievements for Burnout Paradise. As anyone would have suspected these new achievements were for the new Cops and Robbers pack, so I pop the game in the drive. Unfortunately the update hasn’t gone live yet but the in-game news section did say it will be coming 30th April (which is next Thursday). If you... (read more »)
The new content for L4D was made available last night, part of it was the expansion of the Vs mode to incorporate all campaign levels and the other part was a new mode called Survival mode. After downloading the new content and some extensive gaming I thought I would share what’s fresh and what’s rotten flesh in zombie land. For the uninitiated, throughout the course of L4D’s main game you will... (read more »)
