A Fallen Comrade

To bring you the most up to date news about the topics we endear us writers use a plethora of resources. On top of our press sources we will often quote other webpages for their feature articles or breaking news. This is a common tool used amongst many game sites and some of the best sites use this style of reporting almost exclusively.
So why am I telling you all of this? Well one of our brethren has fallen to the failing economy. A site that I regularly look at, Gamecyte.com, has decided to close their doors. They announced that they have already let go of many of their writers and have recently decided to close up shop all together.
So this grim look into the face of a fallen comrade has shown me that we are mere mortals that have no effect on things greater than us. If the monster that is the game community ever decided to be fickle enough to move on, and leave us standing alone in the rain, then we shall perish as well. This reality can happen to any of the gaming webpages including the larger ones that seem impervious to such an event.
No ONE is immortal, but the many can live forever. The writers of Gamecyte have moved onto other projects and the industry evolves a little more with each closing and new beginning. If you are indeed closing your doors Gamecyte.com, then I wish the sum of your parts sweet adieu. Here is to brighter and bigger horizons.
