Batman: The Brave and the Bold

Not content with just buying a majority share in Rocksteady Studios, makers of Batman Arkham Asylum and its currently in development sequel, Warner Bros announced another Batman game, this time for Nintendo. The hugely popular TV series, Batman: The Brave and the Bold will be making an appearance on the Wii and DS this autumn and while no media has so far been produced (aside from the key artwork), judging from...  (read more »)

BioShock 2: Sinclair Solutions Test Pack DLC Announced

2K announced today that they will be aggressively supporting Bioshock 2 with downloadable content now that the game is finally out from under the sea. In what is becoming the norm these days 2K games will release a multitude of extra content for both the single player and multiplayer aspects of the game. Starting with the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack, which will be available at some point in March 2K is promising...  (read more »)

Halo: Reach

Bungie are clearly putting a lot of effort into their final Halo game before they step away from the franchise that has come to resemble Frankenstein’s monster. Not only does it look different, it sounds different, it plays different and it will feel different. After all it is their last Halo game, so they will want to go out with a bang and with the total annihilation of a planet it doesn’t get much...  (read more »)

Fable III Developer Diary

I must admit that I’m a bit of a sucker for developer diaries, like this one for Lionhead’s sequel to Fable II. Some times its easy to forget that a lot of work goes into producing games these days. Of course we just have to play them (enjoyment doesn’t always come as standard), whereas these guys have to turn ideas scribbled down on paper into virtual reality. The diary covers the basics and...  (read more »)

Mega Man 10 Media Explosion

Ever since Capcom announced Mega Man 10 I’ve been waiting an age for Capcom to upload some official media for the game. Finally they have and I’ve uploaded them en mass so you, the reader can now peruse them at your leisure. The images feature incredibly crisp standard definition images from the game, the challenge modes and artwork from the developer. As an added bonus, I’ve included this brief...  (read more »)

LEGO Star Wars III The Clone Wars

Its funny, the subject of the Lego games came up in conversation the other day and my thoughts on the subject were that after the first Harry Potter title, TT Games would logically move back to comics. After all, they’d tapped out two of Lucas Arts’ franchises and Batman is still selling, not to mention that Lego had been producing Spider-Man toys since around the time of the Spider-Man films. To...  (read more »)

Mega Man Zero Collection

I have to admit that I’m a bit of a fan of gaming collections, putting together a series of games into one tidy box helps keep my collectors syndrome happy. The fact that this is a collection of Mega Man games only sweetens the deal, even if its a spinoff from a spinoff. These four games, joined together for the first time, centre around the popular character Zero who first featured in Mega Man X on the...  (read more »)

GoldenEye: Source Beta 4

GoldenEye: Source has been around for what feels like an age now, which is probably because spiritually the mod was started way back in 2004. We are now in 2010 and just shy of the GE: Source anniversary and the game is almostĀ  up to beta 4, which promises to be bigger, better and louder than the three betas preceding it, check out the teaser below. Yes, that’s right, fan favourite Facility will joining...  (read more »)

Final Fantasy XIII Special Edition

I think its safe to say that after the excesses of Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2 special edition, it will take a while to top its self important ridiculousness. Not that anyone is in a hurry to do that mind you, of all the special editions so far announced for this year, they are all confinded safely within modesty. Take this Final Fantasy XIII special edition box set for both PlayStation...  (read more »)

Nier

Those of you looking for something from Square Enix that isn’t Final Fantasy (perish the thought) and maybe something a little bit more direct in its action, might want to cast their eye over Nier. Nier is the latest action RPG to be announced from the company, which oddly isn’t a Final Fantasy game (seriously where do they all come from), although in truth Square Enix is only handling the publishing...  (read more »)

Trails HD DLC: Big Pack Details

They say that a picture paints a thousand words, but sometimes words are the only way to get any hard facts. Especially when the teaser for the new content for Trials HD, titled “Big Pack” (catchy) teased a little too much. So, for the information starved, a list of what to expect: 35 brand new Trials HD tracks, with a special focus on medium and hard tracks, the difficulty levels most requested by...  (read more »)

Resident Evil 5: Desperate Escape

The extra missions that Capcom have been preparing for Resident Evil 5 will soon be upon us and aside from releasing a revised game called the “Alternative Edition” there isn’t a great deal of information to go on. Fortunately we can all rest a little easy because we now know what the extra content will be called, or at least we know that this chapter will be called “Desperate...  (read more »)

A Mega Birthday

To some today might just seem like every other day of the week but today is actually quite special, for two reasons. Two of my friends turn a year older today, first is Mike and co-creator of the site and second is Mega Man (and yes before you ask, he IS my friend), who turns 22. If you want to take part in the celebrations, be sure to head over to Capcom-unity, where they will be holding a special podcast in his...  (read more »)

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

A lot of people (myself included) feel that the three dimensional era of the Prince of Persia series reached the pinnacle with the Sands of Time, which was also the first installment in the sands of time “trilogy”. After those three game Ubisoft attempted to take the franchise in a completely new direction and it worked too, well sort of anyway. The game was very stylised but lacked any real puzzle...  (read more »)

Trials HD Big Pack Teaser

One of Xbox Live’s Summer blockbusters, Trails HD, will soon be getting some extra content to bolster its already 50 track line up. Specific information about the DLC is quite scarce at the moment with the only concrete news being that its coming soon. No doubt the content will be a mix of the three different types of modes already available and hopefully there will be enough of the content to keep most of...  (read more »)
