A game that has unfortunately been overlooked due to a lot of other games vying for your attention, Nail’d none the less deserves at least some of your attention now. Billed as an over the top quad bike racer, nail’d promises to deliver on big thrills and ever bigger jumps and sometimes this is exactly what you need. Its almost as if Deep Silver read my mind (yes, I’m that important that a game... (read more »)
Castle Crashers has been out for a long ass time now, but that doesn’t stop those crazy folks at the Behemoth from showing of their baby. Finally 2K games announces details about the DLC that everyone has been waiting for, the single player extension of the main story line. Maybe it was because, so far, the post launch DLC has been average, maybe its because 2K likes to work in pairs (the first two multiplayer – now two single player) or maybe it was the ghost of Andrew Ryan himself. Either way, after three sets of uninteresting DLC, 2K... (read more »)
As the Fable III release date draws ever near (still feels like a life time away) I am naturally moving toward my usual dilemma of game exposure. This, in essence is me needing to know more about a game and not wanting to ruin the experience with over saturation. Fable III is a the point where viewing material from the game gets more and more difficult, but before I skip off happily into ignorance I wanted to... (read more »)
Usually, I would shy away from top ten lists and not for any sinister reason (I have done them in the past myself), but just simply because you find yourself having to justify your choices. For example, over at Topless Robot you will find an excellent list of top ten adult NES (not that type, you perv). Here you will find a selection of mature films that have been recreated for kids who want to relive their... (read more »)
It took a while and to be quite honest I’d even forgotten about it, but a little over a year after Michael Jackson’s death and Zombie Dancer is no more. That is the Zombie Dancer from PopCap’s fun (and oh so cute) strategy game Plants vs Zombies, that featured a nice little homage to Michael Jackson and Thriller. It would seem that Michael Jackson’s estate has gotten wind of it and decided... (read more »)

Over the years we’ve gotten used to Shigeru Miyamoto looking a certain way. That is a the middle aged man that gave us games like Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong. But have you ever wondered what he looked like way back in say 1989 when he was completing one of his magnum opuses, Super Mario Bros. 3? Well guess no more because a behind the scenes book has materialised on the Internet that details how games at... (read more »)

I must admit that when I saw the box art for this, that I got a little confused. This is because for some reason I thought this was a WiiWare title and wouldn’t be getting an actual retail disc. I’m not sure where this came from, but anyway, NBA JAM. No SNES or Mega Drive (Genesis) collection was complete without a copy of this awesome arcade game and for me, whose only ever owned two sports titles... (read more »)
I was going to just simply gush about how excited I am for this game, which has wowed me since I first laid eyes on it last year. But in the process of researching Lost in Shadow, I discover that on the official site there is a brief demo for the game. My first thoughts on the game when I first saw it was simply that it would be a platform game that you play from within the shadow of the actual hero. After... (read more »)

Its only natural as humans to question our very being, who are we, what are we doing here and all that jazz. What you wont find is a game questioning its purpose or wondering if it would be better suited in a different genre, that is of course unless we ask the question ourselves. Over on the Steam comunity forums, the question has been asked “What if Team Fortress 2 was not a FPS but… a fighter? or a... (read more »)
Ordinarily I wouldn’t write about a game getting patched because hey, its a patch. They are so common these days that everybody’s doing it, right? Well half right, Terminal Reality’s Ghostbusters game, which has been available a little over a year now had a few minor glitches in it on release. The PS3 version got patched almost straight away to fix the problem that affected online play but xbox... (read more »)
One of the most shocking events of E3 2010 has got to be when Gabe Newell strolled onto the stage right in the middle of the Sony conference. Valve promised a surprise during E3 and this was it, Valve and Sony working together and properly this time. In hindsight the thought of Valve working with Sony shouldn’t have been all that shocking, after all Valve had back-tracked on working on Macs not so long... (read more »)
