Games. Here some games. Games that don’t wanna get out. Ya see, more games. Games, they vegetize ya. Ya see. If you play the games, you’re voluntarily taking a tranquilizer. ~12 Monkeys ...  (read more »)

Mario Is A Communist – Revisited

A long time ago, there was an a website dedicated to proving that Mario was a Communist. Not there is anything wrong with any of that, they were just pointing out some interesting similarities found in each. The original website no longer exists but this wonderful comparison lives on with a simple interactive flash presentation. If you have never seen this, then be prepared to do some reading. If you are at...  (read more »)

Shmups Are Back In The Arcades (at last)

That classic side-scrolling bullet hell that we all know and love will be making a comeback in the form of Taito’s new Darius Burst: Another Chronicle. I’m not positive that shmups ever left the arcades, I haven’t seen an arcade in years (besides Chuck E. Cheese) Four player action adding to the insane amount of glowing dots that will already be covering the screen. This is a beautiful piece...  (read more »)

Homebrew Strikes Back

The Wii has been fighting against piracy almost since its launch. Ever so often there is a Wii System Update pushed to your consoles and, more time than not, these updates are primarily focused on shutting down unauthorized code running on their hardware. Well about a month ago there was one of these updates and it was solely aimed at this unauthorized code. This update wiped out a lot of modifications that...  (read more »)

Kratos – As You Have Never Seen Him Before

I was pretty skeptical about this mock trailer but after watching it I feel that if they did make this into a feature length film, I would watch it. The production level and design are outstanding as well as pleasantly surprising. Thank you Gamervision for making an excellent trailer. Cheers! ...  (read more »)

PS3 Move Bundle Pricing

The Official Playstation blog finally sheds some light on Move bundles and their pricing structure. Strangely enough, these bundles don’t make any mention of that secondary controller called the “Navigation Controller”. You know the one, it looks similar to the Wii’s nunchuck controller. Oh well, you can still use your Six-Axis as that secondary controller anyway. What Move Setup is...  (read more »)

Paper Zelda

This is a rather cute and sometimes humorous collection of animations that capture some of the more memorable moments in Zelda history. There is Navi’s classic “hey listen” to the talking Deku tree, all of these bring back some wonderful gaming memories. ...  (read more »)

Metal Gear Arcade

You read the headline correctly, there is a Metal Gear game coming to an arcade near you. I just wish there were some arcades still alive in America. This cabinet does have an official worldwide release, supposedly, but I sincerely doubt we will ever see it over on this side of the ocean. Probably make its way to Europe (lucky bastards). I’m sure your wondering what the heck this game is all about since...  (read more »)

Playstation Move Launch Data – What We Know So Far

I’m not going to go into some long-winded explanation of why I think the PlayStation Move deserves your attention. If you clicked to read this article, then that means you are as excited about this new hardware as I am. Today we have learned some important details that were surprisingly absent at E3. Let’s get down to brass tacks. The Skinny: Releases in Europe on 15 September 2010 Releases in...  (read more »)

OnLive Service Review

All You Doubters Can Now STFU. OnLive works and it works really well. If anyone has had any doubts about this service I am here to lay them to rest. OnLive went live and I was there to experience it in all of it’s glory. Some limitations and shortcomings of the service could be seen, but the gaming was pure and natural as if it were launching directly from my own PC. Plus, you can get a year free if you...  (read more »)

What You May Have Missed – 15th June

E3 2010: The 3DS games you didn’t see I’m kind of pissed that Nintendo has waited until now to make a new Starfox and Pilotwings, but what can you do. Text Messages from the Nintendo Roundtable I love the boys at GoNintendo, they are so passionate about their work and always explain some detail that everyone else seems to overlook. E3 10: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is coming Holy shit...  (read more »)
