In this developer diary from Rocksteady Studios, members of the creative team talk us through some of the choices they made to get the game as true as possible to the Batman source material. Sefton Hill, game director starts things off by explaining that they wanted Batman to have the worst night of his life.
As any fan of Batman will know, Batman isn’t truly at home unless he knows the odds are heavily stacked against him. So even though Arkham Asylum has gone to the wall, deep down bats is actually having the time of his life. Knowing that one false move will result in certain death keeps him focused, keeps him alert and it’s at times like these that bring out the best of the Dark Knight.
Just watching the footage and listening to what the developers have to say assures me that the game is in the right hands, but until we get our hands on the finsihed product we’ll have to take their word for it.
