Bomber Box

Due for release in January Hudson has released trailers for the Wii, PSP and DS versions of the game.

Classic multiplayer coming to handhelds and Wii, but not as we know it.

Bomberman is turning into a mini game series, you could argue that it’s always been a mini game but now mini games take up a large portion of the game.

Bomberman Land on PSP and Wii features a “robust single player story”, 50 mini games for Wii and PSP, 40 for the DS and let’s not forget battle mode (because who really wants to play it?)

While it’s always good to have a new Bomberman game every now and then, I can’t help wondering if maybe Hudson is trying to force a square peg into a round hole. I mean everyone loves Bomberman it’s a great multiplayer game, but we only want to play the classic battle mode, we don’t want 50 mini games and while single player is fun it’s not as fun as battle mode.

It’s fair to assume that Hudson feel obliged to offer a game disc packed with different modes to play in order to justify us paying out for new Bomberman games, the problem is the other stuff never gets touched, ever. We’ve come to terms with it why hasn’t Hudson?

Check out the trailers for all three games.
