Call of Duty 4: Galactic Warfare

Its been a while since I was last involved in the modding scene (by involved I mean using them), which is probably down to my lack of a decent PC to run games on. But it doesn’t stop me from keeping tabs on the latest developments (again, this is something that has dwindled since my participation stopped) from time to time. Which brings me nicely to “Call of Duty 4: Galactic Warfare”, a Call of Duty, Star Wars cross over (if you couldn’t have guessed already).

What make this mod so interesting is that Call of Duty 4 is easily one of, if not the best multiplayer experience out there. Couple that with Star Wars and you finally have a Star Wars game that everybody wants, a good one. The mod is being made by a German community of modders, known as Black Monkeys, who are busy trying to get the game ready for a Q4 release window.

As you might expect their site is in German, so you will either need to brush up on your high school German, or employ the help of babel fish to understand what they are talking about. Fortunately they do have a mini site on Mod db which is written in English for the lazy (like myself) and non-German speaking people.

Finally all that’s left to do is drool over this trailer and wait for Christmas time, hopefully sooner for it to be released.
