Introducing the Tii Shirt!

Filed under: Apparel, Nintendo | Comments (0)

Yes I know it’s not the most original name but I’m a sucker for all things exploded, and to have an exploded diagram of the Wii-mote on a Tee is very cool indeed!

Use the wrist strap so the only place you’ll have to see the insides of the beloved Wii Remote is on this t-shirt. This isometric exploded view was handcrafted and placed on a soft American Apparel shirt with a few hits of teal ink. Game with style.

This tee will set you back $20.00 from Wire and twine.com

From the mind of French designer John Nouanesing comes the Geekini, a very desirable NES controller (female not included). This is only a concept piece at the moment (aren’t they all), but if it were to ever go into production then you can take the Wiimote and shove it, I’m going old skool.

More pics after the jump ;)

Tetris Tee

I would have to say that I would wear this (Yes there is a men’s version too!) even though it is a little too in your face, but I thought it was still a very nice design idea! It can be yours for the small sum of €30.00 over at Beprivparis.bigcartel.com and i’m sure will be a hit with all retro fashion junkies!

Blue Shell T-Shirt

Filed under: Apparel, Latest News, Nintendo | Comments (0)

Tee’s and me are something of a given it’s a very rare site to see me wearing a normal shirt and that how I like it and as someone that wears a lot of tee’s I’m always in need of more (Some might say it’s an addiction).

So when I caught sight of this handmade felt Blue Shell T-Shirt I was shocked and even more shocked to find out it’s a one of a kind tee made for Michelle Gabriel’s boyfriend.

And this isn’t even her first it´s her second Mario customization for T-Shirts, She also produced a perfectly proportioned 1Up Mushroom, and all I want to say is I need one of these or I guess I better take a text style course or something! (Via Boingboing.net)

King Of Games

Filed under: Apparel, Latest News, Nintendo | Comments (0)

On a whim i decided to check out King of Games and I’m glad I did because they’ve just updated their website with three new t-shirts with a Super Mario Galaxy theme.

Given the title of Fantastic adventure, two of the tees sport the same image of Peach’s Castle being stolen, but one is blue and white, where as the other features a mild splattering of colour. The other image is of Koopa Jr.’s Airship and each tee is also available in three different printing styles Normal, fuzzy and puffy, although I’m yet to work out exactly what that means… (Read on …)

Over at one of my favorite websites for cool tees (80’s tee) I’ve found this sweet tee called: Oh Snap featuring our good old friend Petey Piranha the Piranha Plant! And I have to say he looks much better than the life sized one that has been made by someone called: standard_issue’s, This thing would keep me up all night if in the same room as me!!! (Read on …)

Super Neo Mega Turbo

Filed under: Apparel | Comments (0)

Looking through the web this morning and i came across this sweet tee which as i could see is caled: Fourth Gen but i think we should be calling it the “Super Neo Mega Turbo” tee!

Below is a quote from the tee’s website page:

I remember when the PlayStation was Next Gen. Now it’s just the best CD player available according to certified audiophiles. Which brings me to my point, the fourth gen was just about the games. I kind of miss that. I think I need to drown my sorrows in 60 fps of 1080p via HDMI 1.3.

You can pick up one of these over at Meatbun.us for a tidy sum of $26.00, and then you too can call yourself “Retro!”

Zap, you’re dead!

Filed under: Apparel, Nintendo | Comments (1)

How cool is this new design over at Split Reason.com simply called “Zap, you’re dead!” It reminds me of the film “Who Framed Rodger Rabbit” but with a Nintendo flip on it!

The only problem I have is that at the moment you have to vote for it to be included into their current range of cool retro tees, so come on everybody vote for it so I can get myself one!

More Apparel!

As said before many a time we here at Level Select are always looking for that special Tee, the one tee to rule them all that is until the next one comes along!

So here I give you Lafraise.com a French website with some really nice tee on it and not only that but all models have either a dogs head or a hamsters head (Odd I no!) But my favorite is the one called: Break Time!

Below are the best of the best from this cool little site, enjoy!

LowRez

Filed under: Apparel, Latest News, Retro & Arcade | Comments (1)

Continuing my quest fashionably geeky apparel I’ve managed to find Lowrez, a German website that probably has the largest collection of t-shirts in one place.

The t shirts are divided into for categories:

Pixel Designs “First there was the pixel. It’s the smallest part of a videogame-screen. Before there was the 3D-age with it’s polygonal characters and objects, these things were drawn pixel for pixel with love. Good artists at this period were able to fill a 16 x 16 pixel small sprite with live and charm.”

Scanline designs “Since the video line is drawing all images line by line on the screen, so called scanlines appear while displaying low resolution images. This is due to the fact that you can still see the spacing bewtween those lines. The designs shown here are visualizing this effect at a larger scale.”

Vector Designs “In vectorgraphic games the objects are drawn directly by the electrobeam of the monitor on the screen and not line by line like others monitors are doing it. This creates a picture with lines and dots on a black background, which has its own charm. The advantage of this technique is that the objects can be rotated and scaled in unlimited ways, which wasn’t possible with the low resolution pixelsprites at this time. Successful games of this era were “Asteroids”, “Tempest”, and “Battle Zone”.”

Retro Designs This section is made of retro cool, but with a funky modern twist and a hint humour too

Duck Hunt Hat

Filed under: Apparel, Nintendo, Retro & Arcade | Comments (0)

Back in the day I used to be a bit of a hat wearer, although unfortunately back in the day we never had hats like this one. Trucker hats are all the rage these days so I suspect it won’t be long before I see my first Duck Hunt hat in the “wild”, anyone wishing to ride the current hat wearing craze should head on over to old glory where you can pick one up for $22. Mullet not included.

Mighty Kong

MIGHTY KONG

As talked about in previous posts I love Tee’s and I’m always on the lookout for the next one and I think I’ve found it! Simply titled “MIGHTY KONG” it shows the classic scene from King Kong on top of the Empire State building but instead of biplanes there are a load of Nintendo characters trying to stop him!

This is a “must have” in my opinion and a steal for only $19.95!
