One of the great things about PC gaming is all the user generated content you can find, download and use for free. There are a lot of sites dedicated to offering free content to use on your favourite game, some of the content will modify an aspect of the gameplay, whereas some like the following skins simply change the appearance of characters or weapons.

If you fancy having a bit of fun which the appearance of your characters in Team Fortress 2 take a look at some of the better skins I’ve found at FPS Banana

A Plethora of DS’s

The team behind the Goldeneye mod for Valve’s Source engine had been a little quiet of late and there were concerns that the team had stopped working on the popular N64 title. It turns out that they haven’t, they’ve just been too busy working on the mod to let anyone know of their progress.

For an outline of what’s been happening with the Goldeneye Source, some shiny new screens, an animated clip and a beefed up cradle track. (Read on …)

Entire NES system in a controller?

NES inside a NES pad?

Now i thought i had seen it all, i mean the NES PC, laptop X360, portable Wii to name just a few but this has blown me away this afternoon!

This is the NES inside a Nes pad and it is truly great!

NES inside a NES pad?

What they have done is puts an entire old school NES system inside one of it’s controllers with two RCA outputs for video and sound into a TV which to me is mind numbing!

Even the Nintendo logo on the front of the controller lights up with a red glow.

NES inside a NES pad?

And top this off it was made as a gift for the guy’s girlfriend’s birthday!

Below is what the pad looks like with a game plugged into it! (Sweet!)

MODS : Extreme Halo Console Mod

Filed under: Features, Latest News, Microsoft, Modification | Comments (0)

Continuing my quest for the best and worst console / case modifications. I bring you this example, made by Craget over at Max Console Forums, it took him 2 months to complete. He mentions that there are no mods to the xbox itself, only adding a base cooler fan and some LED’s. Id like to alaud his hardwork, it is one of the most detailed ive seen so far.

Keep your eyes on Ebay, because he will be selling soon too…

Ben Heck is at it again, everyone knows who he is by now. (The guy who made a laptop X360, portable Wii and numerous other crazy console mods!) This time he decided to make the original Xbox controller eat the X360 controller. Everytime we see his modding talent it makes us laugh, because they really is no need todo it. But hats off to you Ben, job well done.
