Mock Up Frenzy!

Filed under: Arts & Crafts, Latest News, Microsoft, Nintendo, Retro & Arcade, Sony | Comments (0)

The Pixelation forum have challenges on a regular basis where by the forum members can enter works of art specific the the requirements of each challenge. This time around the criteria was to de-make a modern game to within the limitations of the graphical power of the humble Game Boy. The results speak for themselves, with all manner of games de-made including The Legend of Zelda The Twilight Princess (above), to Bioshock, Yoshi’s Story, Burnout and Boktai (shown below) all getting me excited for games that do and will never exist! Target Smash!! and Home-Run Contest World Records

Filed under: Latest News, Nintendo, Smash Bros. DOJO | Comments (0)

Funnily enough I was talking about Home Run distances the other day, and is it me or does it seem that Masahiro Sakurai just can’t quit the Dojo! My own personal attempts at hitting Mr Sand bag can’t exceed more than the 500 metre mark, but as you will see from the information below there are some truly exceptional distances. (Read on …)

Introducing the Tii Shirt!

Filed under: Apparel, Nintendo | Comments (0)

Yes I know it’s not the most original name but I’m a sucker for all things exploded, and to have an exploded diagram of the Wii-mote on a Tee is very cool indeed!

Use the wrist strap so the only place you’ll have to see the insides of the beloved Wii Remote is on this t-shirt. This isometric exploded view was handcrafted and placed on a soft American Apparel shirt with a few hits of teal ink. Game with style.

This tee will set you back $20.00 from Wire and twine.com

Master Chief Disguised As Samus Aran

Filed under: Arts & Crafts, Latest News, Merchandise, Microsoft, Nintendo | Comments (1)

null

So would you call him Master Aran (sounds vaguely “Mysterious Kung Fu Master” to me) or Samus Chief? Or could this be the Bounty Hunter herself?

This custom paint job for the Master Chief was born out of the result of speculation about how closely the Master Chief looks to Samus Aran. The figure was made using the Body and the arms of the EOD variant armour and the C.Q.B variant helmet, it was then painted to match Samus’ Varia suit.

Created by eBay user deathwind000, who promises the paint won’t rub or chip off, it can be yours for a very reasonable starting bid of $1 and shipping for $7.

From the mind of French designer John Nouanesing comes the Geekini, a very desirable NES controller (female not included). This is only a concept piece at the moment (aren’t they all), but if it were to ever go into production then you can take the Wiimote and shove it, I’m going old skool.

More pics after the jump ;)

Donkey Kong Jenga

Filed under: Latest News, Merchandise, Nintendo | Comments (1)

Jenga, the classic tower building game turned pub favourite is having a 21st century make over.

The  makeover sees Jenga fabulously glammed up into a variety of concepts, from sports teams and seasonal styles to a girly pink and an “extreme Jenga” one. Of course it’s the Donkey Kong one that piques the interest and quite rightly too, since the iron girders of Donkey Kong serves a perfect replacement and Mario looks right at home on too.

Importers can get their grubby mitts on Donkey Kong Jenga from the US Amazon site.

Need an extra life?

Filed under: Nintendo | Comments (0)

Now like my good old pal Stuart I do love vinyl (No not the type that plays music!) and this would make a nice addition to my small collection! The “Grow Your Own 1up Mushroom” is said to have been found deep in the basement of an ancient house in Sonobe (tucked in the fields of Kyoto, Japan) ok maybe not but it would be cool if it were true wouldn’t it!

This 1up Mushroom can be bought over at Thinkgeek.com for the small amount of $9.99.

Blue Shell T-Shirt

Filed under: Apparel, Latest News, Nintendo | Comments (0)

Tee’s and me are something of a given it’s a very rare site to see me wearing a normal shirt and that how I like it and as someone that wears a lot of tee’s I’m always in need of more (Some might say it’s an addiction).

So when I caught sight of this handmade felt Blue Shell T-Shirt I was shocked and even more shocked to find out it’s a one of a kind tee made for Michelle Gabriel’s boyfriend.

And this isn’t even her first it´s her second Mario customization for T-Shirts, She also produced a perfectly proportioned 1Up Mushroom, and all I want to say is I need one of these or I guess I better take a text style course or something! (Via Boingboing.net)
