I think it’s fair to say that gaming art is a medium that is still in it’s infancy, but that’s not to say that there aren’t artists out there already setting the yard stick to which future artists will be compared. One such artist is Chris Lange.

The chances are you’ve already heard of him, his work has been popping up all over the internet and his fan base is growing on a daily basis, but did you know that Chris is getting so much attention that his work is getting noticed on an international level?

Chris’ Collages have featured in Nintendo Power Magazine, which incidentally is the medium used to create each of his uniquely crafted Nintendo works. On top of this he been invited to exhibit his collages in Tubac, Arizona and if that wasn’t enough for an up and coming artist his work is on display in the Nintendo of America headquarters on the west coast.

As previously mentioned each collage is crafted using only torn up Nintendo Power Magazines, an original will cost you $250 which a small price to pay for a custom made piece of modern art of your favourite Nintendo character. If you can’t afford the real thing then prints are also available and are $2o, for anyone with a specific idea in mind Chris also does custom collages (1up Mushroom at the top of the post).

If you would like to find out more about Chris Lange or to request a custom collage visit his personal website and don’t forget to drop him a line to say hi or to chat about gaming. For anyone interested in purchasing one of Chris’ original or even one of his prints you can do so at his Etsy or eBay pages.

Now that he’s famous, can we expect the prices to jump or will that have to wait for him to get old and go to gamer’s heaven?
