Demo A Go Go Baby!

I just don’t know, there might be something in the water but I’m not entirely convinced. It could be this (sporadic) lovely weather we’re getting, or it could simply be that we are a lucky bunch of so and sos. In truth it’s probably none of this and simply a case of coincidence and cold hard marketing logic, either way if you check out the XBLA demos page you will notice there have been a lot of new additions in quite a short space of time.
Yesterday we were treated to both Lost Planet 2 and Mini Ninjas, today Colin Mcrae 2 and NHL 10 are debuting the Market Place and if you just check the past week’s line up we had: Batman: Arkham Asylum, G-Force, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, IL2 Sturmovik – Birds of Prey and the Ashes Cricket 2009.
It doesn’t end there either because with it being Microsoft’s Summer of Games promotion at the moment every week we’ve been treated to a brand new (OK sometimes re-polished) title, each with their own trial demos too. This culminated with the release of Shadow Complex yesterday and was preceded by Trials HD, Turtles In Time: RS, Splosion Man and Marvel Vs Capcom 2.
Of course, and like I mentioned earlier, this spate of demos are either some sort of clue heralding the end of the world. Or some highly confusing and surreptitious ploy to get us to spend more money. Which ever it is, they are all available to download and play now. You never know, something might catch your eye.
