Download GameBoy Games To DS

In the latest copy of Edge magazine, it has been reported that DS owners will be able to download GameBoy and GameBoyÂ ColorÂ games, it is unknown if this will be linked to theÂ Wii’s Virtual Console, or if it will be downloaded straight to DS.Â Nintendo will be releasing official Flash Cards and Readers that will have the emulation software on it, there is no date or price at the moment.

DS ‘Tools’

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced that Nintendo will be releasing new features for the DS, there was no detailed informationÂ on these ‘Tools’ simply saying that they will be more practical than entertaining andÂ useful in places like Train Stations, Amusement Parks and Museums.

Maybe you will be able to download Train arrival updates and plan routes, and download a map of an Amusement Park.

This reminds me of the ‘Nintendo Fan Network’ that was in use at Nintendo owned baseball team Seattle Mariners stadium, where anyone with a DS could watch a Live Feed of the game. It allowed the user to watch replays, get stats of the match/players, as well as order food that was delivered to your seat. Of course this service wasn’t free and nor was the food, but very cool non the less.

The new ‘Tools’ will be rolling out sometime in 2008.

New DS Bundles

Much like the Gold GameBoy Advance SP with Zelda: Minish Cap, the Red GBA SP with Mario Vs Donkey Kong and the newer Nintendo DS Nintendogs Paks, Nintendo are again releasing 2 DS Lite Bundles to coincide with the American ‘Holidays’.

A Metallic Pink DS Lite with Nintendogs: Best Friends Edition, andÂ a Gold DS Lite with Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Both with retail at $149.99 USDÂ which is about Â£72 GBP or â‚¬104 EUR.

It is not yet known if these new bundles will be released outside of America.
