As part of their licensing deal with Microsoft, Sumthing Else Music Works has announced the Soundtrack for Fable II. The soundtrack which features the Fable theme, as composed by Danny Elfman (Simpsons, Tim Burton’s Batman and Spider-man) will be available for sale for retail from the 25th of November through the Sumthing Else Music Works label.
The score itself was composed by Russel Shaw who worked on both Fable and Black & White and recorded at Pinewood Film Studios. It features 90 musicians including the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra at the Slovak Radio Concert Hall in Bratislava, as well as celtic instrumentalists with the and Pinewood Singers Adult Choir. One other group of musicians used was the Tiffin School Boys Choir, which funnily enough is a local school to me.
