Killzone 2 Map Packs
The second batch of downloadable maps have been announced for Killzone 2 and will feature both old and new maps. Titled the Flash and Thunder Pack, it will include two of most poplar maps from the original game on the PS2, Beach Head and Southern Hills maps.
The Beach Head map has the ISA defending a coastal stronghold against a Helghast landing force. A small in size that has been subjected to both the hellish elements of wind and rain as well as the Helghast War Machine.
The Southern Hills map sees the ISA attempting to storm a Helghast compound on top of a hill. A mixture of built-up terrain and wide open spaces – perfect for headshot sniper kills – this map is full of hiding places and offers the perfect battlefield for a large-scale game with lots of players.
Naturally these two maps have been given the next gen treatment to keep them in line with the other maps in The Flash and Thunder Pack and will be available to download 11th of June 2009.
