Lego Lord of the Rings Gamescom Trailer

I’ve played quite a few Lego games in my time and I’ve played with the real stuff too, I’ve even got the odd Lego Star Wars kit. So its fair to say I’m quite familiar with the Danish toy, as I’m sure a lot of kids (young and old) are.

This latest game to get the Lego treatment is of course Lord of the Rings and one that not only looks like a good fit for the formula, but one that also raises the bar. Watch the following video and witness the most ambistious Lego game yet with key scenes teased from the movies, complete with sound bites too. I bet Sir Ian McKellan never expected his hard work would have been converted to Lego those short few years ago while acting as Gandalf.
