Mario for the Atari 2600?
So what if Mario had come out on the Atari 2600 instead of the NES?
Well this video shows what it might have looked like using a NES rom Hack by Beavertron Entertainment and is very believable.

This is really cool but I do believe that the Atari 2600 couldn’t have produced the original NES sounds or the crisp text at the top of the screen but other than that image if Mario had been released on the Atari and not Nintendo? Would we all be owning a “Atari Wii” or “Atari 360″ who knows?
