Capcom has had something of a mad media frenzy yesterday, releasing no less than three videos (and a couple of images to boot). They concentrate solely on Ryu and Wolverine pretty much beating seven shades of you know what out of each other, where do they get their energy from? Being billed as Marvel vs Capcom’s biggest stars Capcom thought it might be a good idea to pit the pair against each other with quite explosive results.
Just like SFII:HDR Capcom has created an episodic trailer for MvC2 that features Ryu, Wolverine and among other things NES and SNES carts. The funny thing is that MvC has never been released on a Nintendo console, but then seeing a game cart shake about has got to be more exciting than a disc or memory shaking about. If Capcom really wanted something tongue in cheek they could have used an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 console rattling about, ironically mimicking the “epicness” of the pair’s rivalry.

Marvel VS Capcom 2 will be coming to the PlayStation Network and Xbox 360’s Live Arcade for €14.99/ £11.99 or 1200 Microsoft Points respectively and will be Dragon Punching it’s way onto both this summer.
