Mega Man 9 Achievement List

The excitement for Mega Man 9 has just about reached fever pitch now and to help continue the buzz a list of the achievements have been published.

The original Mega Man games have a reputation for being very hard and are not games for gamers who are easily frustrated. This is something i reacquainted myself with when playing the original Mega Man on the Virtual Console recently, where i found even completing a level impossible. Fortunately the more you play the game the easier it gets. Which is just as well because for the achievement inclined completing the list will be even more challenging than the game.

Turning the achievement concept in it’s head Capcom have devised a list so devious that one of the easiest awards you can get is completing the game and you only get 5g for doing it.

Pessimists should look away now.

Jitterbug 20
Clear the game in 60 minutes or less.
Invincible 30
Clear the game without dying.
Almost Invincible 20
Clear the game without continuing.
No Coffee Break 10
Clear the game without using any Energy or Mystery Tanks.
Peacekeeper 20
Clear the game by defeating the fewest number of enemies possible.
Conservationist 20
Clear the game by using the least amount of Weapon Energy possible.
Gamer’s Day 20
Clear the game 5 times in 1 day.
Whomp Wily! 5
Clear the game once.
Destroyer 20
Defeat your 1000th enemy.
World Warrior 5
Defeat every type of enemy.
Trusty Sidearm 20
Defeat the 8 Bosses with the Mega Buster.
Blue Bomber 10
Defeat a Boss without getting damaged.
