Mii Contest Channel

The Mii Contest Channel is now available to download from the Wii Shop

Known as Check Mii Out Channel in the US, this new feature for the Wii enables you to pit your artistic skills and other Wii users.

Simply create a new Mii as normal or use one of your exsisting Miis and transport it over to the Mii Contest Channel, there are two main areas, the Posting Plaza and the Contests.

Before you can start posting on the new channel you will need to register yourself as a Mii Artisan and select a Mii to represent you.

Once this is done you are free to upload your Miis to the Posting Plaza, this is where other Mii Artisans from around the world can your creations, see the top 50 all time favorites, top Miis for the day, or just a random selection. Any Mii in the Posting Plaza can be posted to your Mii Channel.

There is also to opportunity to win awards too, on a monthly basis the top 100 Mii Artisans will be displayed with the Master Mii Artisan award going to the highest ranking Mii Artisan.

The Contests is where your Mii can be judged by other users across the globe. The judging is based on which theme you have entered, available themes include historical figures, literary characters, or simply a personality description and players will be challenged to create a Mii character under that subject. This section will be updated frequently with new themes to enter and will have a maximum of four contests running at any one time.

Once the entry phase finishes, it moves to the judging phase. When the votes are counted the winning Mii will be announced and even if you don’t win you can see how well your creation faired against the rest. Players can view and take home any of the top 50 most popular Miis at the end of a contest, and for some special contests they might even receive a souvenir photograph of their entered Mii.
