Attention Club Nintendo Members

Americans have been waiting for Club Nintendo to grace their shores for some time and finally after years of crying their voices were heard and their prayers were answered. We finally received Club Nintendo in the States and I made sure to sign up right away. Sure the site was plagued with slow speeds and inconvenient server overloads where you couldn’t even log in at times. Sure the whole deal was...  (read more »)

Marvel Vs Capcom 2: Episode 5 Spidey Vs Strider

MVC2 Hit Live arcade today and Capcom are still churning out these awesome trailers. Today Your friendly neighbour hood Spider-Man squares off against Strider of Strider fame (obvious, really). The fun doesn’t end here either because final moments tease a battle between two boss characters and if you want to know who they are, or how spidey fairs against Strider. You will have to watch the following...  (read more »)

One of the Strangest Video Game Videos

I really don’t know what to make of this video besides viewer discretion is advised. At first it seems like a harmless remix of video games and music, but this thing becomes more and more strange by the second. No words can describe this thing. Just watch and tell us what you think. Here is how the developer explains it, “This animation we did was planned and animated for the prologue of a...  (read more »)

Link’s Awakening in 3D..!

Some people have a little too much time on there hands and this guy calling himself “MithosKuu” from Washington has to have more spare time than anyone I know. He has taken upon himself to totally remake all the maps of Link’s Awakening entirely in 3D. This is one hell of a huge project and the last time I checked he had finished all the Over world sections of the map and had started on the Dungeons...  (read more »)

Portal In ASCII..?

Who here has played Portal..? If you haven’t you should. If you have I’m sure you will be amazed at how incredibly, supremely awesome and a touch nerdy this video below is. What exactly has been done here? well, some clever people have managed to do is recreate Valve’s Portal using only ASCII which to my knowledge is not an easy task. ASCIIpOrtal Update 2 Is your head hurting like mine is, trying to...  (read more »)

Halo ODST Media

If like me the prospect of waiting until September for Halo ODST is too much then feel assured that Microsoft and Bungie have got our backs. No less than 22 images from the game have been made available, each one revealing just a little bit more about the game. There is of course other pieces of information floating about, the game will come in a two disc format, the first disc will be the single player ODST...  (read more »)

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10: Banff Springs

Players looking to extend their Tiger Woods golfing experience that little further can now do so with the Banff Springs add-on. For those unfamiliar with golfing venues Banff Springs is located in Alberta, Canada, right in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. This is the first time Banff Springs has been made available and understandably EA have pulled out all the stops to make this look every bit as amazing as its...  (read more »)

PES 2010: Master League

Konami has revealed details and images about PES 2010’s Master League, but before your get too excited bear in mind these images are a little boring. They feature the improved menu navigation for the managerial side of PES 2010, which I’m sure for people who love their stats they probably are exciting. Here’s a run down of what to expect from the new managerial side of football. On selecting the...  (read more »)

Wanna see what we are drooling over?

I’m so sad to see Retro Studios pass the Metroid torch onto someone else, but all good things must come to an end. I’m looking forward to the new style that Team Ninja will bring to the series and I am sure I will enjoy the game they produce. I have my doubts that I will ever feel the same about the Metroid series ever again. They brought us three of the most fantastic visions of this beloved...  (read more »)

The Art of: Street Fighter (part II)

So it seems that Street Fighter 4 has made quite and impression on the Art community as of late and everywhere I look these days I see Ryu or Miss Lee in a piece of artwork. So I thought it was time for “part II” of The Art of: Street Fighter, enjoy. (Here’s a link to part I if you missed it.) First up is this amazing 3D render of Guile, which looks almost real. If you thought that the Muppet...  (read more »)

Castle Crashers Crashing On To PS3 And New Footage of Game #3

Out of the blue The Behemoth has announced that Castle Crashers will be making its debut on the PlayStation 3. Up until now a lot of people assumed that The Behemoth were working exclusively for Microsoft and this would never happen, this proves that assumption to be either wrong or simply timed. Unsurprisingly, this has caused a modicum of angry responses from some 360 owners, generally though the response has...  (read more »)

a Joker becomes The Watcher

Not only does the Darksiders look like it is going to be a whole lot of butt kicking fun but it appears that they’re dropping the big bucks in order to get Mark Hamill to do some voice over work. You may be wondering where Mark Hamill has been since Star Wars and you may be surprised to find out that he has been doing animated films for quite some time now. Below we have the developer diary for Darksiders;...  (read more »)

Marvel Vs Capcom 2: Mega Man Vs Iron Man

We’ve had the warriors, then we had the muscle bound behemoths, after that it was the turn of the femmes fatales. This match pits two robot men against each other, in the red corner we have Marvel’s Iron Man and in the Blue, Capcom’s very own Blue Bomber, the Mega Man (granted Iron Man is a man in a suit and Mega Man is more of a cyborg but I’m sure you get the point). Marvel Vs Capcom 2:...  (read more »)

You may have heard a whisper here and a whisper there about the possibilities of Microsoft joining the ranks of Nintendo and Sony in the handheld market. Today kikizo.com have posted an interview with Shane Kim, a Microsoft corporate VP, in this interview he goes onto share with us that the big M is indeed thinking about making a portable Xbox. So when would said device be available I hear you ask well Mr. Kim...  (read more »)

Happy Birthday Halo

July 21st, 1999, that’s the day Halo was first introduced to the public, the event was Macworld in New York. On center stage Steve Jobs passes the baton to Bungie co-founder Jason Jones to handle the unveiling and the rest, as they say, is history. What I find difficult is that its been ten long years since this event and in that time the Master chief has gone from the unknown upstart to a fully fledged...  (read more »)
