Bioshock is heading to the skys..!

Yup its time we leave the cold dark waters of rapture for a more brighter world, although by the looks of it the air has its fair share of problems too. The new trailer for what has been titled Bioshock Infinite is out and this time around we venture up, to the heavens. From the new trailer it looks like we may be trading in the classic Big Daddy for something even more awesome, something mechanical and with a...  (read more »)

BioShock 2 “Minerva’s Den” Single-Player DLC

Finally 2K games announces details about the DLC that everyone has been waiting for, the single player extension of the main story line. Maybe it was because, so far, the post launch DLC has been average, maybe its because 2K likes to work in pairs (the first two multiplayer – now two single player) or maybe it was the ghost of Andrew Ryan himself. Either way, after three sets of uninteresting DLC, 2K...  (read more »)

2K announced today that they will be aggressively supporting Bioshock 2 with downloadable content now that the game is finally out from under the sea. In what is becoming the norm these days 2K games will release a multitude of extra content for both the single player and multiplayer aspects of the game. Bioshock 2 Gets A Rlease Date

The last we heard Bioshock 2 had been pushed back into next year and no one’s heard a peep from 2K Games since then. The chances are they were hiding under their duvets waiting for the expected fan backlash from the delay. That said, the backlash didn’t really happen and we all took it on the chin and accepted the inevitable. 2K Games have now poked their head out from under the duvet to tell everyone...  (read more »)

We all know that Assassin’s Creed II is coming out shortly and so like most games soon to be out there is a new video out showing us all just how “bad ass” Ezio is with all of his duel weapon holding skills and double blades..! Ohh and I totally love the track that’s been used for the video by Genesis called “Justice” One more thing before I leave you is I recently saw this over...  (read more »)

Ok hands up if you cant wait until Bio Shock 2 is out, ok so for the people with there hands not touching the ceiling i’m guessing you haven’t played the first game yet and if this is indeed true please “Would you kindly” go out and play it as it has one of the best story lines i’ve seen in a game..! Bioshock 2 Needs Four Developers

It has transpired today that Bioshock 2 is currently steaming along with the help of four separate development studios. 2K Marin, 2K Australia have been handling the single player work and Digital Extremes with the already blighted multiplayer that (next to) no one wants. Now Arkane Studios have been announced as the fourth company coding the game. Alyssa Finley, producer at 2K Marin, had this to say about...  (read more »)

Lego: Bioshock

Who out there has played BioShock? If you haven’t I would urge you to go out and buy it becuase its one hell of a rollercoaster ride of a game. With one of the best story lines I’ve ever seen in a game and the whole feeling you get when playing it is something else. As a result of the games’ mass appeal, it came as no surprise to me that the busy people out there have managed to build some really...  (read more »)

Bioshock 2 Multiplayer Details

In my last post I took a glance at the pitfalls of multi player games and I called out Bioshock 2 for its inclusion of a multiplayer mode, which it doesn’t necessarily need. So far from what I’ve been hearing it’s not going down well with the people who have played it, unfortunately I’ve not played it so I can only go on other people’s opinions. So in the interest of balance he is...  (read more »)

There’s No I In Team

Bioshock 2 is easily one of the most eagerly anticipated games due out later this year and yet one aspect of the game is drawing considerably more attention than the rest. This would be the addition of multiplayer which is splitting gamers into two groups, those for and those against. The gamers crying out for multiplayer are unfortunately in the minority and yet it seems that their voices are being heard over...  (read more »)

The Evil Lair: A Look At Videogame Architecture

Can a building be evil? Or is it merely the occupant that makes it evil? Could you swap out characters to make it more, or less evil? As it turns out we might all be relying on subconscious archetypes to determine what is evil, generously given to us over the years through print. Jim Rossignol, a guest writer for bldgblog (columnist for Offworld and editor for rockpapershotgun – dude is busy) has examined...  (read more »)

Leaving Rapture

Yes today we are treating you to a “Nine minute” video walkthrough of BioShock 2 by the one and the same Jordan Thomas from Thief, This video shows you a lot more than anything we’ve seen so far..! The game looks even better than the first and still feels and looks like the BioShock apart from the fact you are the “prototype” Big Daddy so you can now drill punch as many splicer’s as...  (read more »)

Would you kindly?

I’ve been meaning to do this post since I finished BioShock last year, but wasn’t too sure if I should as some people still haven’t played the game. I thought to myself that if I warn people of what I’m about to show it should all be good and so here comes your warning..! “If you haven’t played BioShock yet please do not look at either of these videos as it will destroy the games’...  (read more »)

BioShock 2 Footage

Here’s the first footage of Bioshock 2 (sans “:Sea of Dreams”) which showcases the return of Rapture and the player assuming the role of a Big Daddy. Also in witness the appearance of the Big Sister, who moves frighteningly fast, the use of plasmids (which the Big Daddy can now use) and the quite satisfying action of using the drill, although without any gore. The other interesting point to note...  (read more »)

Big Sister (Bioshock 2)

Those of you paying close attention to the viral campaign over at www.somethinginthesea.com would have seen this coming, but it doesn’t make this exclusive by game informer any less exciting (full picture below). So far the only information available about this Samus/GLaDOS eye watery cross is what you can glean from the viral site, which is currently up to it’s sixth update. No doubt over the coming...  (read more »)
