Gamespot video coverage of EA press conference at E3 2010. Just in case you missed it. ... (read more »)
I love a spot of online gaming as much as the next guy but sometimes continuing spawning and dying and then re-spawning in death matches does get a bit tired. Which is why I suspect online modes that encourage team work are becoming so popular, it seems where every game wasn’t compete without a death match mode, now needs to have a co-op objective mode in addition. Not that I’m complaining mind you, I... (read more »)
The latest iteration of the Tiger Woods branded Golf sim is now available to demo on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. With the news of this, came these two exciting in game shots of the menu system, I kind you not. Fortunately EA also provide some screen shots with their last press release and since nobody really wants to see shots of menu, I included those too! As you can see from these two images, EA are... In keeping with the arctic temperatures that are creeping across the country, EA has unleased some seasonally themed pictures from the fourth Command & Conquer game. These snow based screen shots don’t really give away anything other than to expect snow at some point while battling NOD/GDI forces. EA has announced that this will be the conclusion to the Tiberian saga and should hopefully wrap up the... (read more »)
Now I always feel both angry and excited when watching a cancelled game as the game always looks totally awesome but I know that I will never get to play the finished version, and I feel even more upset about the video below. Yes the rumours of EA’s classic motorcycle game Road Rash have been doing the rounds for a while now but we never got an official announcement that the game would be coming out for either... Here we have some more images from the final instalment of the Command & Conquer series (fear not! C&C fans I’m sure this won’t be the last we’ll see of the NOD or GDI), simply titled Junk Town and with no supporting text so we can only guess at the details. Since we are being kept in the dark about what to expect I thought I would offer some theories of my own based on the following... (read more »)
After what will be 15 years (when C&C4 is finally released next year) the current Command and Conquer thread will come to its finale with Command and Conquer 4. I say current thread because for a series as successful as C&C EA would be mad men to give it up now. No doubt EA are already working on new ideas for that, but in the mean time they were kind enough to release the box art (yes that’s all... (read more »)
New images of Rage turned up during this year’s Gamescon, offering us a chance to take another look at id’s open world shooter. Built on id Software’s newest game engine, id Tech5, Rage promises at least to take shooters in a brand new direction. Although until we get our hands on the game we will have to take their word for it and of course, if you are worried about the the new direction the... (read more »)
Players looking to extend their Tiger Woods golfing experience that little further can now do so with the Banff Springs add-on. For those unfamiliar with golfing venues Banff Springs is located in Alberta, Canada, right in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. This is the first time Banff Springs has been made available and understandably EA have pulled out all the stops to make this look every bit as amazing as its... (read more »)
Tennis fever has undoubtedly gripped fair old blightly, if not the world with Wimbledon currently underway. Our only chance of Grand Slam victory came in the guise of Andy Murray, who was effortlessly beaten by Andy Roddick in the semi finals on Friday. At the time of writing Roddick is currently battling Roger Federer to win the mens final and as finals go, this one is a nail bitter. Both players are drawn at 2... (read more »)
I’m not one for analysing the BBFC’s updates, usually it’s just info about a game we already know about or a demo disc for a magazine. Occasionally, like in this instance we find out that Dungeon Keeper 2 has passed a 12 rating by the BBFC. Which is interesting since there have been no official announcements about re-releasing DK 2, could EA have been waiting to show this at E3? Who knows, just... (read more »)
Continuing their love affair with the Wii, EA has produced a few more images to keep us excited about Dead Space Extraction. Which frankly they don’t need to, since the little white box is crying out for a bit of in depth and/or mature gaming. So long as this is a half decent game I can see it selling respectfully, by just filling the void that the party games can’t fill. I was a little disappointed... (read more »)
Now, I don’t want to get ahead of myself and I certainly don’t want to jinx anything (too late), but I get the distinct impression the Wii is getting it’s second wind. By that I mean that third party support is on the up, games are being built from the ground up and it’s not shovel ware. Or so they say. Some new images for Dead Space Extraction have popped up and with them come the promise... (read more »)
After the recent fervor involving Capcom and changing gamers for DLC that is already on the disc it’s nice to see that with all the money EA has made (probably from in-game advertising) they are not afraid to give a little something back. The sequel to the popular Godfather game will be released on the 7th April in America (10th Europe) and available to download for free at the same time is the “Don... (read more »)
In the press release Henry Hatsworth is being billed as an “indie-inspired intellectual property to EA’s Casual Entertainment Label” which is a bit worrying because from the images provided it looks like it could be a good old fashioned side scrolling romp. Hopefully it is and the “casual” part hasn’t invaded the game too much and we get something we can really sink our teeth... (read more »)
