Namco Bandai is my new hero in the arcades. They are bringing us an intense tank game that pits you against the most ludicrous of enemies, be it a robot disguised as a building or a three headed hydra. This game is brimming with excitement while oozing fun. Coming soon to Japanese arcades and hopefully everywhere else, we bring you TANK! TANK! TANK!

Even though this game may look like a conventional action shooter it has a few unique qualities that are sure to set it aside from other machines in your local arcade. By first glance the most noticeable difference is how the screen is turned vertically to enhance the field of vision while you blast at over sized enemies. Once you finally sit down is when you see the real difference TANK! TANK! TANK! has to offer. Built into the seat and the steering wheel is an intense force feedback system that simulates the feeling of firing an extremely powerful cannon.

TANK! TANK! TANK! also had in mind how much fun it is to play these types of games with friends so they also included some ‘party’ elements to the machine. There is a built in camera that takes a snapshot of your face at the beginning and also let’s you choose what type of headgear you want to adorn. This high paced game lets your buddies join in a co-op mission or you can even do some team combat against your cohorts. There is nothing like blowing away one of your friends after you and someone else gang up on them. From the flyer above you can see that you will get a variety of overly powerful weaponry that can knock down the skyscrapers and destroy environments. Also the controls seem very easy to grasp for anyone, making this a game that I could actually get my significant other to try out.

One final interesting tidbit I learned about this machine is that it will receive updates if connected to a network. This could mean the addition of new levels, monsters, or even just fixing bugs. A networked machine will also show regional ranking which is a nice addition but not really a highlight of how freaking awesome this machine is. I just really hope that we see this baby outside of Japan.
