The Natal Project

So if you have been keeping up to date with this year’s E3, I’m sure you already know that Facebook & Twitter are coming to the 360. But have you heard the news about Microsoft’s new 3D motion sensing and facial/voice recognizing “controller” called “Natal Project”. This new camera device will let the user play Xbox 360 games with just the use of their body, no controller required. The demo shows you how a racing game would work and simple sports games using full body spatial recognition!
The video below is just a demo showing you the possible ideas of what could be done and I have to say some of the ideas are not bad but I would like to see the real thing working in real life.
After watching the video above I had a feeling I’ve seen this idea somewhere before. After searching the dark recesses of my brain I realised that this sort of thing was done in Minority Report which is one sweet film, let’s just hope there are no red balls..!
