Although it’s great news about this new model being smaller and lighter i do get the feeling that the materials Sony have used to make this are as cheap as they could be..!
Just looking at the case makes me think this is a knock of PS3 and not something that Sony would make, are they in more trouble than they are letting on..?

The matte black look of the plastic does have a little of that ‘ultra-generic-government-rationed’ sense to it. I mean, just look at it sitting next to the original one which has shiny black plastic trimmed out with chrome. The new still embodies the seductive curves of the PS3, but I definitely see where you are coming from with that.

It does look a bit on the cheap side and I can’t decide whether it looks like a laptop or a VCR.
I’m also getting a retro vibe from it, but then there is the modern trimmings to it. Oh god I’m so confused…
