Every time you load up a videogame, no matter which it is, you will be greeted with the start screen. It doesn’t matter how far you go back in gaming history we have always had this virtual handshake. A good start screen can help set the tone for a game and can even impress you enough to get you even more excited.
A start screen’s effect is most potent on your first viewing and does diminish over time until you find yourself skipping them very quickly. This shouldn’t distract from their artistic merit and Tumblr site Please Press Start is certainly trying to address this with a dedication to the start screen.
