Virtual Console Update

One solitary Virtual Console game this week, at least its a good one.

Harvest Moon – SNES – 800 points

When I think of Harvest Moon I think of hard graft, this is because for a game that’s supposed to simulate farm life it does a very good job of doing so.

It simulates farm life so well in fact, that you’ll be forgiven for thinking you actually work on a farm while playing it. This is not to say that Harvest Moon isn’t an enjoyable game, the enjoyment comes from simple achievements like completing a day on the farm or getting your produce ready in time to be sold.

Just like in real life hard work will be rewarded with even more work and eventually your daily efforts will turn a simple farm into heaving behemoth capable of single-handedly supplying Sainsburyâ€™s or Tesco.

This SNES title is the First Harvest Moon and is widely considered being the best one made, it is also a very rare find for anyone who collects games. Anyone who can’t get their hand on the original or anyone dying to find out what a hard day’s work is like, then you could go far wrong with this game.

Although don’t say I didn’t warn you!
