“We Are ODST”

Ok so most of you out there will of heard about Microsoft making Halo into a real life feature film with even Steven Spielberg rumoured to be in talks to produce the film, and although a statement from Microsoft saying that the film is “on hold” until other Halo projects are finished has got me thinking just how cool of a film it could be and now after seeing the live action trailer (below) for the new upcoming Halo 3: ODST all I have to say this trailer could be the coolest trailer ive ever seen..!

ODST is to take place in 2552 where the Covenant forces have taken control of the city of New Mombasa. They are searching for something beneath its darkened streets. You are an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Your orders: Stay alive, meet up with your scattered squad, and escape the embattled city. All sounds like classic Halo to me..!

Also I believe ODST is set to have one hell of a cooperative campaign mode called “Fire fight” where you can form a squad of your friends over System Link or Xbox LIVE and put your skills to the ultimate test against the invading Covenant war machine for glory, high scores, and achievements. Do battle in multiple environments, on foot or in vehicles, and against increasingly difficult waves of Covenant attackers while Halo 3′s skull modifiers progressively activate to up the ante. ODST is due out on September 22, 2009 and i cant wait..!
