Wipe Out in the real world..?

This morning I saw this video that made me think soon we could all be driving hovering cars or at the least all have hover boards..! Mega Man Mural

Old school gaming and street art goes surprisingly well together. The pair first meet up in the early 90′s (When old school was actually new school) and have enjoyed a great partnership ever since. Of course back in those days graffiti wasn’t strictly legal and didn’t enjoy the mainstream recognition it does now. Nowadays street art is widely accepted and it gives artists like Kid NES and...  (read more »)

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Introduction Gameplay

After falling in love with Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas (to a lesser degree, mind you) the prospect of playing Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is very exciting indeed. The idea of simply just wandering Tamriel on foot or on horseback and interacting with the world how I want to is what draws me in. Just like in previous Bethesda games, like Fallout 3 or Oblivion the world is yours to explore. Bethesda has gone a...  (read more »)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Redemption Single Player Trailer

The one where Captain Price gets angry… The first Call of Duty game that I got into was Modern Warfare, thanks in part to a family member forcing it upon me. The second Modern Warfare crucially upped the ante but then failed to deliver where it mattered most, in-game hours. Yes, I know there is a whole legion of COD fans who love the multiplayer (and I do too, to a certain degree) but I’m here for the...  (read more »)

Owlboy Demo

Being of the age where I grew up on a diet of 16 bit graphics I’m always on the lookout for games that remind me of the good ol’ days. Enter Owlboy, a 2D side srcolling adventure game from Dpad studio. Primed to fill a SNES shaped gap in my life, promises to deliver all the hallmarks of a great game. Critically acclaimed pixel graphics, large dungeons, a deep storyline (with Sky Pirates!), side...  (read more »)

Pac-Man Moleskine

I missed out on the Pac-Man Moleskine notebook last year when it was released for his 30th anniversary. Thankfully I managed to find one a few days ago and now it’s arrived! There are some things I still like to do the old-fashioned way, and jotting things down in a notebook is one of them. If you’ve owned a Moleskine notebook, you’ll know that they are like no other. With the Pac-Man theme,...  (read more »)

General information about Forza 4 is still quite thin on the ground, something I expect will change over the course of the next few weeks. If you are a die hard fan of the Forza franchise then no amount of information will stave of your anticipation. Nor, will the inclusion of pre-order bonuses just announced but at least you’ll know what you are getting for your cash. Below you will find details of the...  (read more »)

Sonic The Hedgehog Flipbook Videos

I’ve never been very good at drawing one image of Sonic the Hedgehog, let alone hundreds of images. Nor do I have the skill or patience to create a flipbook of Sonic imagines as seen below. So I can only fathom at the dedication required while I enjoy the animation unfold before my eyes. These videos were created by the very talented BloodyRenegadeX, who most definitely has a thing for flipbook animation....  (read more »)

Videogame Start Screens

Every time you load up a videogame, no matter which it is, you will be greeted with the start screen. It doesn’t matter how far you go back in gaming history we have always had this virtual handshake. A good start screen can help set the tone for a game and can even impress you enough to get you even more excited. A start screen’s effect is most potent on your first viewing and does diminish over time...  (read more »)

L.A. Noire Presents A 1947 Map of Real Life Crime in L.A

The L.A. Times, Rockstar and Team Bondi have put together an interactive map of 1940′s L.A. that can show you where real life crimes occurred in the city during that time period. For any who doesn’t live in Los Angeles, or indeed in the United States it could prove as an invaluable tools when actually playing the game. Deep Silver and Square Enix Team Up To Unleash Dead Island

You might be interested to learn that both Deep Silver and Square Enix will be handling the publishing duties for Techland’s zombie holiday game. Deep Silver has got Europe covered and today it has been announced that Square Enix will cover the Americas. I’m not sure where that leaves the rest of the world but the press release states a world wide release later this year, so I wouldn’t...  (read more »)
